Since announcing our historic partnership with the California Community Colleges Chancellor’s Office in early 2024 we’ve helped to enroll nearly 400 members and their family members in low-cost or free-of-charge classes at community colleges statewide. Together, with the UDW Resource Center and our community colleges partners, we’ve created learning pathways in health care and child care, business, ESL (English as a Second Language) and basic student preparation courses, just to name a few. Members are eligible to enroll in any classes they’d like.
UDW currently partners with twenty campuses throughout the state with more on the way. UDW members and their family members (children, spouse, parents) who enroll in classes are eligible for a number of supportive services to help them stay in school including tuition and student fees assistance, laptop loans, textbook loans, transportation assistance, and more.
If you are interested, please take our survey and someone from the UDW Resource Center will follow up with you.
If you or an immediate family member would like to learn more about how to get started on your college journey, please reach out to admin@udwresourcecenter.org or 619-872-5423.
Stay tuned for ongoing registration dates and trainings across the state!
