UDW Blasts Trump’s Cruel Cuts to Medicaid and Child Care: “An Outright Attack on Working Families”

“This Executive Order is nothing short of reckless and an outright assault on working families and the most vulnerable Americans,” said UDW Executive Director Doug Moore. “Millions of children, seniors, and people with disabilities depend on these vital programs, and this move puts their very lives in jeopardy.

Our elected leaders cannot afford to remain silent. They must rise up and make it crystal clear to the president that they will not allow his cuts to enrich the wealthiest few while devastating the lives of millions of hardworking families.

This is a direct and deliberate attack on workers, and we will fight these cruel cuts with everything we’ve got. Labor will not sit back and watch as the president wages war on the well being of our communities.”
